One (of many) common currencies would be the silver 1743 English Crown (a great deal of money during those times).

The camp site below would be like one used at or around 1750.

While many items were traded to the Indians for animal hides, a pipe ax would often seal the deal for metal tools or small glass beads of which blue was the most highly prized.
